Axtells cast iron Evo cylinders have been very popular since their debut in 1991. Made of solid cast iron and therefore much heavier than the OEM pieces they seem to be "old technology" at first glance. As they gained acceptance and the numbers in use rose the unmatched stability of the cylinders earned a faithful following. The superior ring seal and associated horsepower potential of the cylinders make them the choice of even top drag racers where weight is a concern.
